Sometimes there’s a mechanical bull. Often there’s a birthday celebration. And always there’s dancing on tables. Whatever the theme of the day is at Angelina’s on a Sunday, the staff dresses up to play the part — Daisy Dukes and all. Then there was that time that “Money Heist” was the theme when servers shot Angelina-printed bills into the air. The money-tossing gig stuck and is a regular tradition at brunch. (But we won’t spoil the flag surprise.)

The famed brunch is a Forest Avenue mainstay offered from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The set price of $16.95 includes choice of entree which includes a side item and jalapeño corn bread. Rather than do an all-inclusive with drinks, the restaurant does $2 brunch cocktails throughout the brunch hour. The owners aim to give a more flexible and affordable option. Some of the most popular items are the bourbon-infused French toast and huevos rancheros as well as sangria and margaritas
